A Glenfinnan Travel Management Plan
Every day, thousands of tourists visit tiny Glenfinnan to watch the steam train cross Glenfinnan Viaduct. The overwhelming majority arrive by car and find it difficult to park in a safe and legal space. The local community feels helpless in the face of such over-tourism and the many problems it brings. To assist, WHCRP commissioned Ansons Consulting to write a travel management plan designed to address the situation.
Funding was kindly provided by ScotRail, Highland Council, Hitrans, Glenfinnan Community Council, National Trust for Scotland, Glenfinnan Station Museum.
